A team of New Paltz CSD teachers, administrators, office staff, and parents met several times during the fall of 2008 to evaluate various student management systems. PowerSchool was chosen for its flexibility and award-winning grade book.
What does PowerSchool include?
PowerSchool replaces SASI, InteGradePro, and ParentConnect.
Where should I begin?
1. Are you a teacher? You will use "PowerTeacher", a subset of PowerSchool that allows you to see detailed information about your students. Click here for more documentation.
2. Front office staff will use PowerSchool. There are several user manuals under "PowerSchool documentation". The Student management reference manual is a good place to start.
3. Want to "play" in PowerSchool without harming anything? Try using the "sandbox", which is a copy of the live PowerSchool. Data is refreshed once a week (or call Cheri X4060 if you need it refreshed more often).
4. Have a specific question about PowerSchool or PowerTeacher? Visit the knowledgebase at http://powersource.pearsonschoolsystems.com. Your username is your email address.
