Important cap and gown information:
Seniors wishing to participate in graduation must have a cap and gown. Orders were already placed during school hours.
Seniors must now place the order online at http://www.jostens.com/ or by calling 1 800-JOSTENS (567-8367). The Jostens 800 number is open during and after school hours.
The web site is easy to use but if help is needed, please call the 800 number and the customer service representatives can help walk you through the process.
Please place the order online ASAP in order to avoid paying additional shipping fees.
Please call the 800 number written above or email the representative from Jostens, Jamie Hagness, at Jamie.firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Graduation will be held Friday, June 23rd at 6:00 p.m. on the Floyd Patterson Field. A reception will follow, sponsored by the PTSA. In the event of inclement weather, graduation and reception will be held at the Wellness Center on the campus of SUNY New Paltz. The decision will be made by 12:00 p.m. on Friday and will be posted on the high school website if there is a change.
Graduation is an honored event. Students who take part in the ceremony must wear the cap and gown completely unadorned. Flowers are not to be worn on caps or gowns for the ceremony. Proper attire, including dress pants, dress shoes or dress sandals (no sneakers), collar shirts and ties are expected. Students who are not properly attired may be removed from the procession by the administration.
Graduation rehearsal will take during the week prior to graduation. More information will be available soon.
Caps and gowns will be distributed during rehearsal. All school fees (i.e., lost athletic equipment, lost textbooks, etc.) must be paid prior to receiving the cap and gown.
All seniors are expected to be at graduation on Friday, June 23rd by 5:00 p.m. sharp. Seniors driving to graduation should park in front of the High School. If graduation is at SUNY, there is unlimited seating and parking will be available in the Elting Gym lots #5, 6, 7 & 8 and the Athletic and Wellness parking lot #37.
Thank you for all of your support and I look forward to seeing everyone at 6:00 p.m. Friday night, June 23rd!
