New Paltz Schools does not provide driver education classes. Please call any of the local driving schools to locate driver’s ed. HS students should check the bulletin board in the Main Office for information.

5 Hour Pre-Licensing Class

The five-hour course is mandated for those who hold New York State driving permits who want to finish the process for securing a driver’s license. Please bring your permit and the fee in cash to class. The instructor will be paid directly.  Pre-registration is required. A class must have a minimum of 12 pre-registered students in order to run.  The registration deadline is one week prior to class.  See below for registration information.
