    1. 3 preliminary sketches will be due tomorrow- Friday 4/10
    2. 1st Multi View is due to me on Monday 4/13

    3. I will link some type of little Parametric assessment for Monday

    It is very important that you stay on schedule- please keep focused
    and put time aside daily to complete your project.

    Please get any of the Parametric Activities to me that you do not have a
    grade in PowerSchool

    Today please go to Google Classroom and Listen to the Parametric explained VIDEO

    Once you have done so Complete tje Parametric/tolerance Practice

    Make certain that you make a copy and do not write on the original.

    If you have not completed the Activited (3 of them) from Monday - please do so first

    Once you are done with everything continue developing your yard art project.

    Thank you to those that have sent me their 3 ideas- please continue to do so- let me know your favorite of the bunch.

    If you are having trouble with the multiviews send me a picture and tell me the problem and I will try to help the best I can.

    Hello Everyone,

    I have added instructional pages for each of the two projects on Google Classroom

    The first item is the Parametric PPT and then the 3 assignments that are related to
           this topic.  You need to do this assignment before attempting the second assignment.
           I expect that you will have shared 3 documents with me once you have completed them.
           These items are due at the end of the day tomorrow.

          Also, I have linked how to edit the files that I have linked in Google Classroom.
                  Please read this as well so you do not run into problems.

    The second item is the Yard Art.  It is critical that you read the instruction page.  Before you
                  begin anything with this assignment, I would like to see 3 animal thumbnails
                  (these are quick sketch ideas) and an idea of which one you would like to go forward with.
                  Once you have decided on the animal yard art then you may begin drawing the animal
                  and each component.  Dimensions will be done using Parametric Equations.  The first
                  measurement is called d and given an assigned value.  Please look at the samples that I 
                  have linked for my deer art. You will need to print graph paper that I have linked on Google
                  Classroom so that you can make your Multi-View Drawings. This will take longer than I
                  had initially thought it would so I have aded another week with a Due date of 4/10.

    I will always be available by email.  If you need to arrange a zoom meeting please email me and we will
            create a meeting time. I will be at my computer from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. MWF and 3:00pm-4:00pm T TH

    Hello Everyone,

    For those that turned in the Parametric Activities. I thank you for first reading my

    webpage and 2nd for completing the activities.

    It is important for everyone to get this done by Monday of next week.  The next

    project will be drawing by hand or using a web-based program that everyone can access

    and creating an object using parametric equations as our dimensions.

    This allows you to increase or decrease the size by changing one dimension and all the others

    will change since they are all mathematically related.  So as we continue into week 2 we need to stay

    focused and work the best we can.  If you do not have access to internet either via your phone or computer

    please let me know or if you know of someone that is not getting this information, please let me know.

    So as of today- no new work however please send something out in your group chats, etc. to you friends and peers

    to let them know that they need to be checking my webpage and have the assignment completed for next Monday.


    Send me any photos of how you and yours are dealing with Covid-19- what have you been doing, how are you keeping healthy.

    Dear IED Classes,  It seems as if we are using snow days for this week
                                and our spring break will be next week.  I posted a lesson
                                on Parametric Equations - 3 things: worksheet, activity and homework
                                Some of you are having trouble understanding what to do so while
                                we are having our snow days and our vacation, I will attempt a video for
                                your viewing pleasure. These assignments will not technically be due
                                until after our 2 weeks off.  For those that I have recieved, I will grade them
                                and get them in the grade book.  If those that did not turn them in yet
                                want to turn them in as you complete them- please do so.  
                                If I get word that we will be out for longer than the planned 2 weeks, I
                                will be assigning one of our projects that you can design and work on.


                                 For now: stay healthy, wash you hands, stay away from crowds.
                                 Check periodically for updates.

    Do Now/ Activity;

    Hello Everyone, We are going to try to get through content while we are away from school.

    It is very important that you check this web page every other day per our normal class time.

    If you know someone that has not checked or is not checking please reach out to them and tell

    that they need to do so.  All items needed to complete activities will be posted on google classroom.

    You will find what to do here and you will find the files necessary on the classroom.

    If in fact this contiues beyond 2 weeks we will attempt a project from home as well.

    So for today, the lesson will be Parametrics and Parametric Equations;

    You have heard me talk about Inventor being a parametric program and if you remember

    I said that all the files talk to each other.  If I update the .ipt, the assembly, explosion and title blocks

    will automatically update.  The idea is to take this concept to equations.  I need for you to watch

    the Parametric Equation Power point.  Take notes by completing the Note worksheet and then completing the

    activity.  I will also have an additional activity to test your understanding.

    So now you will go to Google Classroom and look at unit 8.
    When you are done completing the handout and activity share
    it with 
    my by next class time.

    Also, many of you did nto turn in the tolerance and the assembly constrain homework.  They are both 
    linked under unit 7 on Google Classroom.

    Do Now: 

    Find your box and grab a dial caliper.

    Measure the Height, Width and Depth of the box and measure the thickness

    Write these measurements down on your paper

    As a group- open excel and set up 2 labels:

    Insert all class data and create a histogram- is the data of normal distributon?


    Work on T-9 Redesign- Due on Monday the 16th

    Test on Wednesday, March 18th on Tolerance and fit, allowance, precision, accuracy
                  Assembly line, algorithms, Holes and hole and Thread notes, empirical rule
                  and Assembly Constraints and Motion in One Direction.
