    To Parents, Caregivers, and Staff:

     

    Yesterday we were notified that one of our Lenape Elementary students has tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last in attendance on Thursday, April 29, and was experiencing some symptoms.  Several students will need to quarantine as a result of their contact with the positive case.   All required notifications to the Ulster County Department of Health have been made. 

     

    We were notified today of a positive student at our middle school.  The student was last in attendance on Tuesday, April 27 and began experiencing symptoms on Thursday, April 29.   Several students will need to quarantine as a result of their contact with the positive case.  All required notifications to the Ulster County Department of Health have been made. 

     

    Please remember, COVID-19 symptoms may appear two to 14 days after exposure to the virus and include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, please keep them home from school and closely monitor. Consult with your child’s doctor for advice whenever needed.
