Economics On line stock simulation instructions:
Part One:
Find a computer connected to the internet.
Go online, and highlight the address bar.
Then, backspace (clear it out).
Type msn.com.
Hit enter.
Click sign in.
Click sign up. It will ask "do you have an email?" click yes, and use the school email
(login name@slmail.newpaltz.k12.ny.us) Fill out the registration form. Be sure to make a password you will not forget-- and not one you use for anything else (security!).
Then, click on money (in the shaded area up top).
Click portfolio or portfolio manager (on the left side of the screen).
Click "Launch Portfolio Manager."
Click new account.
Name it your name (first name and last name)
Click submit.
Click stocks.
Research, find three or more companies you are interested in. Type a brief explanation for your choices.
Spend $5,000.00 on the three or more companies.
Commission is always $50.00.
Highlight your portfolio, and print a copy of the relevant info�from your account name down to the date.
You really need to mess around with this stuff to learn about how it all works.
if you are confused, return to your portfolio and start again. otherwise,
once you have signed in, just click on stuff and check it out.
