New Paltz High School

 

 

                  

                     My name is Jackie Wild and I will be your child's resource room teacher this year. I will also be co-teaching in some of their classes as well. The focus of the resource room is to meet the goals of each student's IEP and to provide support in his/her content area classes. Attention is paid to writing skills, assistance with math, study skills, and organizational skills. Emphasis is placed on preparing for NY State's standardized tests, as well as meeting the New York State Common Core Curriculum Standards.

                     New York State now requires each student to take the following Regents Exams: one science (Earth Science, Biology, or Chemistry),Global Studies ( 10th grade), Math ( Algebra, Geometry, or Algebra 2 and Trig.), U.S. History ( 11th grade), and English Regents.

 

   ** In order to achieve these goals, each student is expected to:

           - Be to class on time.

           - Bring assignments and materials for assistance ( both A Day and B Day).

           - Have an assignment pad, and USE it.

           - Allow others to work without distractions.
