The Trout Tribune
Duzine Elementary School teachers Kathryn Gulitti, Lauren Cope, and Melissa Manning have been hatching something special for their students! The three educators recently attended an educational conference on trout and returned with trout eggs. They put the eggs in a breeder box—also called the trout nursery—set in a 75-gallon tank that is housed in Duzine’s new STREAM room. Students and staff visit the fish tank regularly to learn about the habitat and watch the eggs’ progress. They even organized their observations into the first-ever edition of “The Trout Tribune,” which can be read here: https://bit.ly/3TiWv6o. No doubt it’s been fascinating to watch these eggs develop into fish!
