During the last two weekends, David Finch (Lenape Elementary Band Director), Nicole Foti (High School Choir Director), Sam Newsome (High School Band Director), and Sonja Nosovsky (Middle School Band Director) sent 118 students from Grades 5-8 to the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) solo festival. Last week, the Middle School was immersed in a whirlwind of fun, laughter, and school spirit. Thursday's theme was Generation Day, where students, teachers, administrators, and staff came together to celebrate all generations! From adorable infants to wise elders, everyone joined in the festivities with style and enthusiasm!
Last week, the talented Middle School bands and choruses stole the spotlight as they performed for their peers in celebration of Music in Our Schools Month. Huge applause to all the student performers and their dedicated teachers Sonja Nosovsky and Will Halpern.
Spring spirit week was kicked off in style with Deck Out in Green Day. The halls were a sea of emerald as students, teachers, administrators, and staff showed off the luck of the Irish!

Students in Bryan Krebs Grade 8 biology class are learning about reproduction development.
High School student Wren Willow MacDonald (Grade 10) competed in the Poetry Out Loud Semifinal at SUNY New Paltz recently. Wren prepared and recited three poems for recitation, and was one of only five students in the NorthernHudson Valley region to make it to the final round. Congratulations, Wren!
Kelly Costello and Ayesha Ibrahim's Grade 6 class is blending art and learning by crafting dragons to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
