Duzine Elementary Grade 2 Justice Challenge

Click here to watch Inclusion video

In honor of the late Martin Luther King, Jr., Duzine Elementary students recorded videos as part of a “Justice Challenge” carried out during the month of January. Each day, students recited a quote about social justice. They emphasized keywords, such as inclusion, responsibility, determination, courage, passion, empowerment, freedom, change, and more. Students read the key word of the day, the quote, and then spoke a few sentences about what it means to them. Integrated Technology teacher Angelo Urrico worked with the Grade 2 classroom teachers to script and record the students, who did an extremely impressive job reciting their quotes and expressing their thoughts. We are bursting with #MaroonPride for our students!
