Elayne Zinn and Patsy Kosinetz's Kindergarten class has transformed their hallway at Duzine Elementary School with beautiful artwork inspired by the courage and powerful words of Maya Angelou and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. These little artists are spreading peace, love, kindness, and an important message of unity.
Recently, our little learners at Duzine Elementary spread warmth on a chilly day by bringing the fun indoors for recess, turning the cold weather into a cozy adventure. From board games to creative crafts, students embraced the chill with smiles and laughter.
Robert Young (aka "Smooth") from the Harlem Wizards brought his A-game to Duzine Elementary School for a jaw-dropping interactive assembly.
Duzine Elementary School is a child-centered community whose mission is to: create a safe, nurturing and inviting environment in which all are comfortable taking risks; instill a respect for individual differences and similarities; provide challenging opportunities wherein students can reach their greatest potential; teach and model cooperation within the Duzine school community; and empower our students to be actively involved in learning.
District Vision Statement:
Our school community - students, staff, families, and community members - are citizens of the world, passionate about learning and empowered to achieve their dreams.
