The Great Pumpkin Fest!

girls making hearts with hands in a chain

Lenape Elementary School students had a blast at their annual Pumpkin Fest recently. The New Paltz High School’s Participation in Government, Literature, and Economics for Today’s Students (PIGLETS) class helped staff seven activity stations to continue developing relationships with some of the District’s younger students. Youngsters solved riddles that were cleverly posed on decorated pumpkins, sipped on warm soup samples of pumpkin, butternut squash, and garlic broth prepared by the Middle School’s chef, colored ornate Mariposa butterflies, tackled a Math Obstacle Course, winterized the Lenape garden, unraveled the mysteries of dry ice in a science station, participated in an ELA Scavenger Hunt, and learned about podcasting. The Lenape and PIGLETS students enjoyed interacting with the activities and each other. Successful student engagement: 10/10! 🎃🎃🎃
