Lenape Class Bakes a Tasty Lesson in History

Lenape Elementary School students in Melissa Feldmann and Jenna Russolello's Grade 5 class honored Indigenous Peoples’ Day with a delicious and informative activity. Students read the book “Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story” by Kevin Noble Maillard, and learned about Native American culture and family traditions. They then made their own fry bread and reflected on how they could introduce it into their own household traditions.
