Grade 4 Students Identify Various New York State Land and Aquatic Landforms

Francesca Houston’s Grade 4 students at Lenape Elementary completed a project focused around geography and landforms. For weeks, the class identified various kinds of land and aquatic landforms that can be found in New York State. Students did research on their Chromebooks to identify the specific names of these landforms and used Google Maps to determine their location within New York State. They incorporated topography, bodies of water, neighboring states/countries, as well as cities and natural resources onto the map to create a creative and comprehensive understanding of our state! 🗺️

These maps will help students as they begin their Native American study of the Lenape people.
