Principal Sean Inglee has assembled a Student Advisory Team (SAT) at Lenape Elementary School. Grade 5 students, nominated for the team by their teachers, represent the student body in discussions about the environment within the school, potential issues students encounter, and ideas for a better Lenape Elementary. Meeting topics discussed have included a climate survey, spirit week activities, and who to approach if a student needs support. On the agenda for the team’s next meeting is to propose strategies for how best to incorporate the school’s sensory room into classes to support learning and help students feel calm. 

The Student Advisory Team aims to offer students a valuable opportunity to build strong communication skills while promoting student agency, and provides valuable feedback for the school's administrators. Way to go, Lenape!
