• Coping with stress in a changing world:


    The uncertain world of today may cause additional stress on families.  Children are sure to be impacted by this. If you are feeling stress, here are some suggestions to help yourself manage it--Remember we are their role models!

     

    • Take time for yourself doing things that rejuvenate you.
    • Go for a walk or exercise
    • Meditate
    • Eat healthy
    • Talk to someone

     Signs that your child may be experiencing above normal stress:

    • Headaches, stomachaches and other somatic complaints
    • Difficulty sleeping
    • Laughing or crying for no reason
    • Seeing only the down side of situations.

     If you don’t see improvement, please contact your child’s pediatrician, therapist or school social worker.
