HelloWelcome Mrs. Bryant's 6th Grade Website!
March 30, 2020
Dear Students and Families,
I hope that you are all healthy and well. I cannot believe that after having our “Spring Break” I would be writing you this note rather than greeting you at the entrance to room 24. I cannot believe that Friday, March 13th was the last day that I got to see many of you, and that I won’t get the chance to see you for two more weeks. I cannot believe that the Coronavirus (Covid-19), something microscopic, is impacting our way of life on such a large scale.
With all of this in mind, I am excited to be able to connect with you via “distance learning.” While we are participating in distance learning, I will do my best to be here for you in whatever way that I can. Each week, I will be posting assignments to our Google Classroom. I understand the need for flexibility right now, which is why these assignments (lessons and activities) are designed to be completed over the course of a couple of days. If at any point you have questions, please be sure to email me directly. I will also be trying to set up “office hours.” During these “office hours,” we can arrange a time to talk over the phone. I will share more information regarding “office hours” soon.
I know that this is not what we are used to, but we will figure it out as we go. Together we will slowly find our “new normal” as we continue our learning in our Google Classroom instead of our classroom at the Middle School. This is new for all of us, so I ask that we each do our best to be patient and understanding with one another. This means that when you are posting or commenting in our Google Classroom it is important that we are mindful to ensure that we are communicating clearly, respectfully, and with empathy.
Our goal right now is to do the best that we can. Remember I am here to help support you, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
