    To Parents, Caregivers, and Staff:

Today we were notified that a Duzine Elementary student has tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last in attendance on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.  No Duzine students or staff will need to quarantine.   All required notifications have been made to the Ulster County Department of Health and the impacted families.

Please remember, COVID-19 symptoms may appear two to 14 days after exposure to the virus and include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, please keep them home from school and closely monitor them. Consult with your child’s doctor for advice whenever needed.

Once again, we urge vigilance and responsibility. Please do not hesitate to contact the nurse’s office if you have any questions or concerns.  Please contact Ross Hogan, Duzine Elementary Principal, at 256-4351 or Nurse Joy at 256-4360

We hope you will join us in extending healthy wishes to all involved.

    Sincerely,

    Angela Urbina-Medina

    Superintendent of Schools
