Lenape's ENL Students Say Being Bilingual is a Gift
Lenape Elementary’s English as New Language (ENL) students in Amy Chapman’s classes recently wrote essays on why being bilingual is a gift, and their reasons sure do tug at the heartstrings! Students cited many benefits, such as being able to translate for their families, making new friends, teaching their teachers how to speak their language, being able to tell a secret in front of someone, and having job opportunities where they may use their language skills. Students wrote their essays in both English and their native language, so their families could enjoy their work. We are so proud of how far our ENL students have come!
