NPHS Celebrates Black History Month

New Paltz High School teacher Albert Cook and the Students of Color Alliance (SOCA) curated a spectacular celebration of Black History at New Paltz High School.
Students delved into the rich history and enduring impact of Black music and how it has profoundly shaped American culture and transcended global boundaries.
The school came alive with live music during lunch periods, featuring the infectious beats of Reggae, the soulful vibes of Soul/Neo-Soul, and the timeless tunes of Motown. To top it off, everyone got their groove on, learning new moves and dancing to the rhythmic energy of Hip Hop.
