Advanced Art students from Todd Martin and Laurene Pountain’s classes at the High School spent the day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. From the Harlem Renaissance and Transatlantic Modernism exhibition to William the Hippo and the works of Van Gogh, every moment was a brushstroke of creativity and cultural enrichment.
In celebration of National Physical Education Week, we're shining a light on Mike Vance and Brooke Graham's physical education classes from the High School, who are embarking on a fishing unit at SUNY New Paltz's picturesque pond. This collaboration with the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), now in its ninth year, is about more than just catching fish—it's about fostering an appreciation for outdoor activity, conservation, and respect for nature.
During the last two weekends, David Finch (Lenape Elementary Band Director), Nicole Foti (High School Choir Director), Sam Newsome (High School Band Director), and Sonja Nosovsky (Middle School Band Director) sent 118 students from Grades 5-8 to the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) solo festival. Grade 4 students at Lenape Elementary had a blast with a special show by Arm-of-the-Sea! From mind-blowing science to mesmerizing music and puppetry, they embarked on a journey underground, discovering the magic of plants, the dance of fungi and roots, and the incredible world of soil microbes.

Morgan Profaci's Grade 5 art class at Lenape Elementary celebrated Earth Day in style by taking their creativity outdoors and painting stunning birch trees!
Linda Sinforoso and Joanna Wilcox’s Grade 3 class from Lenape Elementary had a professional landscaper visit and teach the students how to germinate seeds. It was the perfect culminating activity to their plant life cycle unit! The students planted grass and sunflower seeds, and have been enjoying watching them grow more and more everyday.

Absentee Ballot Applications and Early Mail Ballot Applications now available
All Absentee Ballot Applications and Early Mail Ballot Applications must be received by the District Clerk by May 14, 2024 if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or by May 20, 2024 if the Absentee or Early Mail Ballot will be picked up personally. Absentee Ballots issued by the District Clerk in person may only be given to the voter. Early Mail Ballots issued by the District Clerk in person may only be given to the voter or the voter’s authorized agent set forth in the application. By law, the original signature of the absentee voter/early mail voter is required on the application, and the application must be delivered to the District Clerk by mail or in person. Applications cannot be accepted electronically. All Absentee Ballots/Early Mail Ballots must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
