Tuesdays with Morrie Webquest
Goal: This quest is designed to introduce you all to the author of the book, major themes and concepts, and the experiences enveloped in the novel.Directions: Below you will find 4 tasks. You can work on any task you wish; they do not need to be completed in any order. Please follow all directions closely. Some of the tasks will require you to watch/listen to videos. When completing these tasks, please use your headphones.
You will need to open a new Word document to answer all the questions to the corresponding tasks. This document is what you will turn into me for a grade. *Be sure to open in a new window and SAVE AS when you are finished* Please place an MLA Heading on the top of the page.

Task #1: The cover of the book: A personal journal entry (10pts)
Please take a look at the cover of the book above. The subtitle reads "an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson."
On your new document:
1. In your opinion, what is life's greatest lesson? Be honest.
2. If you could ask anyone (fictional or alive) for advice, who would you ask? Why?*Your response could take the form of a poem, if you wish*
After you have finished your response, click on the book and read the review of the text and about our author, Mitch Albom.
Task #2: An interview with Mitch Albom (10 pts)

On your document, please answer:
1. What were Albom's original ambitions? How do you think his experiences affected his work as an author?
2. What is Mitch's subject matter for his work?
3. How do you feel about Albom's thoughts, "Every family is a ghost story"? Do you agree? Have you ever had similar experiences?
4. What kind of a person is Mitch Albom? What kind of a writer is he?
Task #3: Research Morrie's disease (10 pts.)
As we will discover, Mitch develops a relationship with Morrie Schwartz, his old college professor, who is dying from a terminal illness. The disease which Morrie is afflicted with is ALS.
Please research the disease using the Internet.
On your document, please write a paragraph discussing the disease, its origins, and how it affects those who are diagnosed.
Task #4: A poem (10 pts.)
