    Summer Camps

All of these camps are based at colleges that specialize in music study.  The camps are a great introductory camp experience for someone who wants to spend time making and playing music, while also having ample social time as well.  These programs are HIGHLY recommended by Mr. N.  You will need to apply during the winter months to earn acceptance to these programs.

Fredonia Summer Music Festival - Fredonia School of Music

    Musical Ensembles in Our Community:

If you are planning on continuing to play music after high school, you will find these opportunities helpful!  Whether or not you choose to make music your career, these opportunities will give you the opportunity to grow as a musician and challenge yourself.  (They also look pretty good on a college application, too!

SUNY Ulster College/Community Band - This band rehearses Wednesday nights at SUNY Ulster's Stone Ridge Campus.  You can also earn college credit for New Paltz HS Band class by registering for this band through SUNY Ulster's Collegian Program.  Contact the director at vicizzo2@gmail.com

Big Blue Big Band - This jazz group is a semi-professional big band, with a storied history right here in the Hudson Valley.  The members have many years of experience, and can teach you a great deal.  I personally learned a GREAT DEAL from my experiences with the group, and still perform with them on occasion as a substitute.  Contact the director at bigbluebigband@gmail.com.
