    A Regents Diploma program is required of all students at NPHS.  Courses are offered in Art, Business, Computer Programming, English, Family & Consumer Science, FineArts, Foreign Languages (French, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish) , Health, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Project Lead the Way (Pre-Engineering) Science, Social Studies, Special Education, and Technology and Digital Media Arts.
     
    Advanced Placement courses are taught in American History,  English, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Environmental Science, European History,  Comparative Government and Politics,  Microeconomics,  Macroeconomics,  Psychology, and United States Government and Politics.
     
    University/High School Spanish and French Courses are offered through the State University of New York at Albany and taught by our high school foreign language teachers.
     
    Students are also involved in various independent study courses. Students can take vocational programs at the Career and Technology Center where courses of study include: Automotives, Aviation, Business Information, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary, Early Childhood, Electrical, Internet and Computer Applications, Nursing, Plumbing, New Vision, Technology, Visual Arts and Welding.
     
    Some of our new courses include: Cultural Anthropology, Field Biology, Forensic Science, Global Human Rights, International Business, Introduction to Sports Medicine, Literature Workshop, Math and the Arts, Personal Finance, Poetry, SAT Preparation Course - Math, and The Business of Music.
