Look at the following website...4th Quarter HomeworkChoose a subject of study. It can be simple if you wish, but should have variety. You will be investigating this subject for
several weeks so make sure it is interesting enough to keep you motivated. Each week should produce a new set of studies around your subject. There are a lot of things that you can explore, here are some examples:
Make studies of different objects in the same category.
Draw different views of the same subject.
Zoom in or out.
Use a variety of different media.
Experiment with work surfaces. (put in sketchbook later).
Find actual images for reference (photos, magazines etc)
and much more.See below for examples from different sketchbooks to help get a better idea of what you shouldbe doing. On the due dates I will meet with you individually. I will make note of your progress and we will discuss what direction you should go next.HW Due Dates:2 Pages Research A 4/23 - B 4/24" " A 4/29 - B 4/30" " B 5/6 - A 5/7Sketches for piece B 5/14 - A 5/15 (one page thumbnails)Final Exam – Art work (25% of your final exam)

This piece will be graded using our traditional rubric. aged/weathered faces, trees, collections, nuts and bolts, shells, hands, glasses (for drinking or wearing), animals (pick a species: horses, cats, dogs etc), insects and so on…* note: the thing you study should be accessible to you, don’t pick mythical creatures or landscapes found on other continents etc.Natasha Bynum Faces
