• In a total points grading system, each assignment is assigned a specific number of points. Throughout the course, as you complete assignments and take tests, you accumulate points  based on your performance. Your final grade is determined by the total number of points you earn out of the total possible points. it is a straightforward way of calculating grades based on the points you accumulate. 

     

    Examples:

    Essays can range between 50-100 points

    Quick Check Homeworks - 5-10

    Quizzes 10-20

    Participation points - 5-10
